Car IT Symposium 2025 Recap: Driving Innovation in Sustainable Mobility
The 2025 edition of the CAR IT Symposium in Ingolstadt offered more than just a glimpse into the future of automotive technology: it became a stage for redefining how innovation is built. Curated by Dirk Wollenschläger, Next Mobility Labs-investor and longtime industry insider, the event gathered mobility leaders, tech pioneers, and investors to explore new directions in a sector undergoing rapid transformation.
At the Car IT Symposium 2025, the Next Mobility Labs team - Armin, Göran, Ava and Fabian - returned to the stage with a clear mission: to demonstrate how the venture-studio-model can reshape the future of sustainable mobility and render entrepreneurial success repeatable. The presentation highlighted how venture studios distinguish themselves by integrating strategy, technology and operational support, all while mitigating early-stage risks. Fabian, the Entrepreneur in Residence at Next Mobility Labs, guided attendees through the process: from identifying the right problem and crafting a resilient business model to assembling a winning team and extracting actionable insights from every experience.
The session also featured Jan Born, CTO of Circunomics, who delivered a compelling pitch on the company’s role in advancing a circular battery economy. Circunomics, having just secured €8 million in Series A funding and expanded into the U.S. market, served as tangible proof of the venture-studio model’s effectiveness.
For many attendees, the session represented a first-hand look at a model still emerging within the German startup landscape - one already delivering concrete results.
The mobility industry is evolving fast, and events like CAR IT Symposium are essential for staying ahead. From groundbreaking innovations in automotive software to key discussions on AI and electrification, the conference brought together the industry’s leading minds to shape what’s next.
For Next Mobility Labs, it was an opportunity to connect with visionary founders, industry leaders, and investors who are driving the transformation of mobility. The insights gained and the conversations held will help the venture studio continue to support the most promising mobility startups.
