Mainz, April 2025

Why do startups need “Team, Timing, Theme” to succeed?

That’s exactly what we discussed at the Startup-Verband on Tour stop in Mainz and we had the chance to show how we approach this at two levels:

Our COO Göran Göhring, who shared how we at Next Mobility Labs systematically build startups and why structure, validation, and methodology are not the opposite of entrepreneurial freedom.

His key message: “Team – Timing – Theme” aren’t just buzzwords, they’re levers for long-term success. The earlier you tackle them, the stronger the foundation.

Also with us: Circunomics, a real-life proof point of our model in action. CTO Jan Born showed how a single idea grew into a company that’s now scaling internationally, driving circular battery innovation in e-mobility.

The event at Gutenberg Digital Hub , moderated by Gregor Demmer, was more than just a stop on the road, it was a meaningful exchange between voices from politics, business, startups and investors.

Special thanks to Daniela Liersch for making our appearance possible, and to Franziska TeubertJannis Gilde, the Startup-Verband team, and everyone who joined us to rethink how we support startups in Germany.
